When I travel I love to stay at luxurious hotels - especially the kind of places that offer over the top extras and really spoil their guests with great service, nice spas, awesome restaurants and beautiful views. What more can you want? To save some time, I've put together this list of my favourite 5-star hotels and resorts in Zermatt. I hope you will like it!

  Hotel. Stay in the heart of Zermatt. Situated on a rock, 45 metres above the roofs of central Zermatt, guests access The Omnia via a tunnel leading to an elevator, which brings them right into the lobby. Guests can taste refined international cuisine made from selected seasonal ingredients in the restaurant or on the terrace. After dinner, guests can relax on the sofa in front of the fireplace, sipping an espresso or a grappa. The spa area offers various treatments to unwind after a day in the fresh mountain air. All units vary in layout and size and feature elegant modern design and private balconies. Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel free of charge. The Omnia offers its own taxi service to and from Zermatt railway station, the car park or the heliport. A shuttle or helicopter service to the airports can be arranged by the hotel team as well.   Hotel. Stay in the heart of Zermatt. A member of “Leading Hotels of the World”, the 5-star Mont Cervin Palace was opened in 1851. It is situated in the heart of Zermatt, 300 metres from the train station. You can find relaxation in the pool and in the 1,700 m² wellness and spa area and indulge in a wide range of beauty treatments. Most of the guest rooms are facing south and have a balcony or a patio with views of the Matterhorn. A few of the junior suites and suites come with a hot tub or an open fireplace. Wireless internet is available in all rooms free of charge. A rich breakfast buffet and an exquisite à-la-carte dinner are served every day.   Chalet. Chalet A la Casa is located on a south-facing slope on the north-eastern edge of Zermatt, offering panoramic views of the village and the Matterhorn. In winter you can ski right to the front door. Free Wi-Fi is provided and all units feature a kitchen and a balcony or a terrace. The property is connected by a lift to the riverside.
