What more can you want? To save some time, I've put together this list of my favourite 5-star hotels and resorts in Toyama. I hope you will like it!

River Retreat Garaku offers luxurious modern rooms and suites for a peaceful getaway on Jinzu River. The hotel houses two restaurants, a café, free-access sauna and hot spring baths as well as an aroma-treatment massage parlour. The new wing designed by Naito Hiroshi, a renowned Japanese architect, displays numerous art pieces throughout its Art Walk.
Guests at River Retreat Garaku can explore the surrounding nature or stroll around the hotel’s garden. Indoors, guests can loll in the shared lounge or the library. Free WiFi is accessible throughout the hotel. Private parking is available at a nearby location without charge.
The spacious rooms and suites here are air-conditioned and come well-equipped with a flat-screen TV, sofa, refrigerator and coffee machine. En suite bathroom is fitted with a bath while bathrobes and slippers are provided. Bathrooms and toilets are shared for few rooms.
On the ground floor, coffee and other baked goods are available for purchase at Café Millennium or Patisserie. Japanese dishes can be enjoyed at Rakumi, while French cuisine is served at Trèsonnier.
From the hotel, JR Sasazu Station is a 10-minute walk away. The hotel offers charged shuttle service to and from Toyama Station, which is a 40-minute drive from the hotel. Fugan Unga Kansui Park is located within 40-minute drive away.
