When I travel I love to stay at luxurious hotels - especially the kind of places that offer over the top extras and really spoil their guests with great service, nice spas, awesome restaurants and beautiful views. What more can you want? To save some time, I've put together this list of my favourite 5-star hotels and resorts in Sierra Nevada. I hope you will like it!

  Hotel. The only 5-star hotel in the Sierra Nevada resort of Monachil, this hotel enjoys ski-to-door access to the local slopes. Free Wi-Fi is available. The Vincci Selección Rumaykiyya is built in a typical Alpine style to match its mountainous surroundings. One of the highest hotels in Europe, it boasts direct access to a ski lift and a free transport service to Pradollano. Onsite, ample ski storage space is available, as well as a comfortable Alpine lounge and treatment area. There is also a ski hire shop on-site. Rooms at the hotel feature exposed wooden beams reminiscent of a traditional mountain lodge.The restaurant and dining room offer views of the spectacular surrounding mountains. The hotel's restaurant serves a daily breakfast, which includes products for celiacs. This seasonal hotel is open between December and April.   Hotel. This ski hotel is set in a charming Alpine-style building, surrounded by the impressive mountains and ski runs of Andalusia’s Sierra Nevada. Free WiFi is available. Enjoy a day on the slopes thanks to El Lodge’s excellent access to Maribel Ski Resort. Cable cars and ski lifts rise up to the peaks of Borreguiles and El Veleta from the hotel’s location at 2,100 metres above sea level. Once you have enjoyed the many local ski activities, return to El Lodge to relax. The spa and wellness centre features 2 swimming pools, a sauna, and treatment rooms. You can also choose to work out in the gym before sitting down to a meal in the on-site restaurant. The attractive, Finnish-style rooms all features views of the ski resort and village. They offer floor-to-ceiling windows, and include a tablet and an iPod dock station. This property offers a selection of restaurants and bars on site, including "The Sun Deck", which offers stunning views of the ski tracks. Other facilities available include a kid's club and a business centre. Private parking is available for an additional charge. Guests can also buy sky passes and rent any equipment at the property.
