When I travel I love to stay at luxurious hotels - especially the kind of places that offer over the top extras and really spoil their guests with great service, nice spas, awesome restaurants and beautiful views. What more can you want? To save some time, I've put together this list of my favourite 5-star hotels and resorts on Maui. I hope you will like it!

The Banyan Tree features upscale Hawaiian cuisine in a fine dining atmosphere and is open nightly for dinner. Guests can enjoy a specialized cocktail menu and casual dining in the Alaloa Lounge. Kai Cafe provides fresh, organic salads, pastries, coffee and smoothies.

A separate adults-only pool and sun terrace is also offered. A state-of-the-art fitness centre is available to guests. A children’s activity program includes lei making, crafts and video games in a separate activity centre.
Guests can take advantage of the novice scuba lessons, yoga lessons on the beach, tours of the Botanical areas, cultural tours, and private photography sessions. Other services available include paddleboard lessons, guided stand-up paddle excursions and guided kayak tours.
